Peri-operative Therapy for Facial Procedures

Our mind is often back to 100% much sooner than our bodies, making recovery from surgery an emotional experience as well as a physical one. Facial procedures, for example, can take an unexpected toll on a client. Our faces are how we introduce ourselves to the world, and to wake up from a surgery with significant bruising and swelling can alter our perception of self.

Psychologically, facial procedures can be the most difficult surgeries for recovering clients. This is especially true with regard to the length of the healing process. These surgeries are the most visible to the outside world, and clients are hyper aware of it. Although the results of these procedures—a more rested appearance, improved skin tone, restored firmness—are gratifying, the period of time between the surgery and the fully healed final result can be emotionally difficult to navigate.

This period of recovery time is when our Peri-operative Therapy is most helpful.

With many of our post-surgical facial procedure clients, we often hear the phrase, “I didn’t expect to look like this for so long.” When your face no longer looks like you, feelings of post-operative depression and anxiety can take root, dragging down one’s spirit and, consequently, lengthening recovery time.  Alleviating this stress, especially for those clients undergoing multiple procedures, is a cornerstone of our innovated Peri-operative Therapy.

We meet our clients’ needs for support and compassionate care during the healing process. Relieving post-operative depression and anxiety are another positive asset of incorporating Peri-operative Therapy into your surgical recovery. By reducing swelling and bruising quickly, promoting faster healing, and relaxing and calming both body and mind, clients find themselves in a more positive mindset. This in turn fuels a faster recovery, helping you find your face again.
